    The 311 bus service which runs between Thornbury and Dursley has been saved. South Gloucestershire Council and Gloucestershire County Council negotiated a deal with First Bus that will see the service continue to run unchanged for a further 12 months while options for the future are explored.     Changes to parking policy in South Gloucestershire take effect.
    Following consultation with local people, businesses and special interest groups the council has amended its parking enforcement policy. The changes, which come into effect this week, are detailed in new public guidance published today on the council's website. A council spokeman says its parking enforcement policy to help reduce congestion on the district's roads and ensure compliance with parking regulations.

    53 drivers fined for ignoring traffic restrictions on Highwood Road, Patchway on Friday.
    More than 50 drivers were fined £30 for ignoring traffic restrictions on Highwood Road, Patchway following a police operation on Friday (March 15). Special Constables ran the operation after local people's complaints about motorists ignoring traffic restrictions on the road. The road has been closed to traffic, except for buses, taxis and bicycles, between its junctions with Durban Road and Coniston Road since October 2012....
