Cotsworld News and Gifts on Thornbury high Street should be renamed The Pound shop as most things are a £1 or less, and as they have stopped selling newspapers and magazines they can drop the news bit, they sell a good range of stationaryand there pet range is getting bigger.
this is a great 99p store that Thornbury has been lacking over the years. it is perfect for the christmas period as they sell a good range of items for 99p. the shop is large and the stock is well presented making it easy to find. also with all the prices being 99p it is easy to keep an eye on how much your spending.
cotswold news and gifts recently changed over to a 99p store, they offer exceptional value for money at many items costing a lot more in other local shops. the sales man trevor is also very well known in the area which also helps add to a local friendly face. great service all round.

The store has recently changed to a 99p store and though this is OK his range has dropped. However at DiscountHomeCentre.co.uk (Formally Jason's Trading Post - Just up the road opposite the Chippy) the range has I recon doubled but I don't know how they fit it all in. And they are seriously keenly priced, in fact they are 89p for most of the 99p items at Cotswold and their plastic containers are so much cheaper and better quality as well!!! They need a bigger shop! Nice to see Cotswold trying to compete though!
cotswold news and gifts have now changed in to a 99p store! thats right EVERYTHING is now 99p they stock many lines and many of them are worth more than 99p but due to rebranding it to a 99p store they have even more bargins! plus they have one of the ,most talkitive people in thornbury working there called trevor.
Cotswold News has a very good range of stationery on sale including all the popular Ben 10 and Bratz stuff! the prices are very good which means you can get fully kitted out for next to nothing! they also sell a number of hardware items as well as cards and gifts.
