Recently moved to Thornbury from Bristol. Mumtaz is nowhere near as good an Indian restaurant as Raj Pavillions http://www.rajpavillions.co.uk/ or Panaha http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186220-d2207798-Reviews-Panahar-Bristol_England.html . But it's not a "bad" restaurant, middle of the road, bit better maybe? Could try harder!

I love spicy food so the Mumtaz in St Marys Center is one of my favarate places to go, the service is great and the prices are resonable, they also do a home delivery service to so if you cant make it out its not a problem they will come to you.
the mumtaz is my wifes first choice. we have been eating at the Mumtaz for a number of years including birthday meals and even a works group booking. each time they have served amazing dishes and also nice sized dishes. the staff are everything that you would expect from an upmarket venue. whats better is that you do not normally need to pre book either.

Reportthe mumtaz has been in the thornbury town for many many years now and they have a large number of repete customers. although i have only been to the mumtaz a couple of times in the past the service and food was fantastic. the prices at the time were ok but not sure what the prices are like now.
