my husband loves this place
the knot of rope in the high street has to be the best pub in the area when it comes to sports, they have 3D tv making it the best place to watch England games along with other 3D broadcasts. they have a good amount of seating dotted around and a good selection of drinks at the bar.

perfect for sports
No matter what sports you are into if it is being broadcasted on tv then there is no better place to watch it than at the Knot of Rope on the towns high street. they are also the ONLY public house in the area that shows 3D sports. the bar staff are easy to get along with making it perfect for a chat and some drinks whilst watching some sports.

Best in Thornbury
The Knott of Rope on Thornbury High Steet is the best pub in Thornbury they do great pub grub and it is very lively at night, they show all the big sports events, there is also a heated covered smoking area out the back for thoughs who enjoy a smoke, there is a dance floor and a DJ most weekends so you can have a good dance.

Thornbuys only pub that broadcasts 3D TV. the knot of rope is nothing less than a fantastic local sports bar that broadcasts a range of sports. including every single England football match and where available in 3D! if the sports broadcasts are not enough then they al;so offer a good food and drinks menu.

A family friendly enviroment, with excellent service. Always something to do. Excellent food and drink, including some local brews. Good for parties, or if you just want an evening out.

a sports persons delight
the knot of rope is located at the top end of the thornbury high street, the knot of rope is now a sports bar giving the local community a one stop pub to watch all the best sports games. including football, boxing, racing and so much more! the know is also the ONLY public house in the area that broadcasts 3D TV!

Lively, friendly atmosphere
The Knot of Rope in Thornbury High Street is a spacious pub with a lively, friendly atmosphere. Its big on sports and has numerous screens showing the latest football and rugby matches. They have a good selection of beers on offer as well as some simple but still very tasty pub grub.

very nice
this is the type of venue that i would never expect to find in an area like thornbury, a sports bar come pub its a fantastic mix. the pub was very busy on the night that i visited and they also had a list of local taxis to hand. perfect for a drink and even more perfect for sports.
