Black Horse
Nice pub
I went into the Black Horse in Thornbury a week or so ago for a drink and catch up with a couple of mates, the bar staff were nice and they stocked a good selection of drinks on tap. I also noticed a sign out side saying that they are starting to offer Bingo at the pub, which I know will go down well with locals.

Nice pub

great local pub
the black horse has plenty of parking a very good range of drinks they also offer some good meal deals too. they have a large function room with a bar making it a perfect venue for a local party. they also hold some good events which they promote out side as and when they are holding any.

nice local
its hard to find a noraml local pub nowadays. but the black horse on grovesend road really is just that. a normal local community pub that serves a nice range of food and drinks. the bar staff are chatty and the other punters are also nice local people.

The Black Horse located on grovesend road in thornbury is a typicl local community pub, the black horse has a very large function room which makes it perfect and popular for hosting birthday parties. the black horse also shows big screen foot ball along with other sporting events. the black horse also serves food for a simple menue.

tidy
nice size car park so you will never have a problem parking your car, also large screen tv which is perfect for watching sports. also the pub has a function room that makes it perfect to hold your parties ect. nice range of food and drink also on offer. overall its a nice tidy pub.

Bit rowdy
The Black Horse is a nice pub although each time we have been there I have found it to be rather rowdy and noisy. Not very good to take kids there either, although they have a nice green area and outside tables, it is adjacent to a very busy fast road (ok, shouldnt be..the speed limit is 40 but is seldom adhered to!) They have a big screen so ideal for the up and coming football. Not my cup of tea really, prefer quiet country pubs.

the black horse is a nice big pub that offers a good range of drinks as well as food. they have a very large function room that can be hired out as well. we have held a number of functions at the black horse and we have never been let down by them. they also show large screen football as well.
