Love the Anchor Inn on Gloucester Road it is a propper family pub the garden is great for the children to play in as it has a play area which keeps them happy while you enjoy a drink and a chat with freinds, the food is good pub grub, a all round good family pub, happy times.

in the summer its really nice going to the Anchor Inn, they have a really nice beer garden which also hosts a childrens play area making it the perfect place to go for a drink in the summer whilst watching the children play in the play area. the anchor also serves really nice freshly cooked food. very nice family pub indeed.

one of the best
thornbury has a number of pubs to choose from but when it comes to wanting a good catch up with friends the Anchor Inn is the perfect choice. the pub is laid out to create a warm feeling and the selection of home cooked food adds to the appeal. the pub also has it's own car park with a number of allocated spaces. along with a large beer garden and childrens outdoor play area.

fantastic pub, has a large outside seating space. also a childrens play are thats enclosed so is safe for children. also a handy car park. the pub offers a wide range of drinks and also has a nice foof selection.

Thornbury
We often go to the Anchor in Thornbury for Sunday lunch and its a good meeting place for the kids and grandkids as they have a fenced off play area so on a nice day you can sit and have a pint and the kids can play safely. The only downside is the entrance to the car park..right on a bad bend and there have been some bad accidents there. Saying that, lovely old fashioned pub, good food, good car parking and great for kids.

very nice pub, the bar staff are nice and chatty, the drinks prices are good as well, they offer a nice range of food and you are sure to find a meal suitable for anyone. the beer garden is also very nice and well looked after. i would recommend this pub to anyone. they also have entertainment as well as a childrens play area.

Nice in the summer
We often go to the Anchor in the summer with the grandchildren. The food is absolutely superb! and there is a good size fenced off garden with play equipment for the kids. The proprietors are friendly and because there are 'locals' there is always a nice atmosphere. It is ideal for lunch or evening meals. Has a good size car park, although a bit dodgy on a bend so care is needed! We also have been there in the winter evenings and it is cosy warm...and always comfortable. Well worth a visit.
