Hi `StanMor` Thank you for your comments - the second Web Site mentioned is mine - which at this moment in time is going through a make over (long over due) but going through 9,783 pages takes time - but i`m getting there.
Nice picture. The museum has a good selection of photos from old Thornbury but , due to lack of space, not on display. Enquirers welcomed.
For a good selection of photos can I suggest 'Thornbury Through Time', a recently published book showing contrasting views of past and present. Pop into the museum shop and browse - it is nearly Christmas after all.
Now this was Thornbury in the 1950`s 1960`s as we knew it - from the top of the High Street to the Plain was shops either side - you could buy anything.

Indeed, and an excellent resource it is. Keep up the good work.
The other link, that is misbehaving, was to the Thornbury Roots site ( http://tinyurl.com/335vjr3).
Steve - why are original URLs are replaced by a 'tinyurl' link, losing their identity? Seems a bit pointless.

Online there are photos on: http://tinyurl.com/3a6ssmq showing the histories of many Thornbury buildings and of course http://tinyurl.com/3y6qx3k which speaks for itself.
