A woman in her 20s was rescued from her car after an accident on the M5 near Bristol.

The incident took place at about 5.45pm on Thursday evening, northbound between junction 15, the turn-off for Almondsbury, and junction 16 for Aztec West.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove one of the car's door after the crash, which also involved an HGV.

The woman was taken to hospital but her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
