Snow returns to Thornbury (but not with a vengeance)

On waking up today I was shocked to find that forecasts about the local weather continue to be accurate. After reeling from the initial shock I resolved to go into Thornbury and take some pictures again. However, a number of you will be relieved to hear that the latest snow does not strike me as being too serious (and if Met Office predictions hold true then it should go away again soon).

Snow has settled in the Mundy Playing Fields...

but we're mostly clear on the roads
Above are a couple of local pictures which should give you the idea that we're getting a good medium with the snow this time. While Thornbury High Street and nearly all roads are clear of the snow, there is still a good amount that you can have fun with out in the fields and parks in the Thornbury area - just bear in mind that your snowman could turn out to be a bit muddy if you're not careful!
Warnings of heavy snow for today are still being given, and moderate weather warnings have been issued in case the snow and sleet persist (be sure to check the Met Office website if you're in need of more information - http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/), but besides basic precautions I doubt it is really worth dwelling on. In the mean time, just enjoy the second coming here in Thornbury.
p.s. If any of you have some snow photos from last week then you can still upload them to the galleries page and share them with other local people.
