thornbury: Police are searching for a convicted sex offender who has gone missing from Leyhill open prison.
Gavin Nolan, 23, is serving time for attempted rape and a number of assaults. He failed to return to the prison after being released on a temporary licence last Friday.
He is white, 5ft 11ins tall, of medium build with short, dark hair.
It is thought he may have left Bristol for the London area.
