The organisers of this year's Thornbury Carnival have revealed exactly what can be expected from the event.

It looks like we can look forward to a similar spectacle at this year's carnival.
After a quick read it seems there will be three stages at the carnival, implying a large number of different entertainments (Thornbury's local brass band and orchestra will be among them). Certainly some of the additions to the carnival will be recognised as standards (craft stalls, fun fair etc) but there are some real surprises too, namely the aerobatic wing walkers - a fact that I'd find hard to believe if the Red Arrows hadn't attended last year (watch them in action here).
Of course, before any of this even happens there will be a parade through the town, which residents can be a part of if they wish - just follow this link for details of the parade and how you can take part.
Last year the carnival attracted roughly 11,000 people, and organisers are hoping that this year they can convince even more people to turn up for the festivities on July 3rd. For more information you should check out the Carnival's website at http://thornburycarnival.wordpress.com/, but if you're desperate for the most up to date news their twitter page might be just the thing for you!
So, what exactly are you most looking forward to at this year's carnival?
