Where's the cheapest place to buy fuel in Thornbury?
Today a planned Government fuel duty rise is putting 0.76p on the price of a litre of petrol and diesel. And on Tuesday - the day when VAT goes up to 20 per cent - pump prices will go up again.
The AA reckons the two increases will add around 3.5p to the cost of a litre of petrol and diesel. AA figures show a litre of petrol now costs an average of 123.98p, with diesel at 128.20p – this time last year petrol was 107.74p and diesel 109.46p.

ReportI remember when they reached 110p and thinking "yikes"! Since then, recession, job worries and the economy have gotten so bad it's de-sensitised me to 123p+ for a litre.
It still makes me wince but it won't stop me driving for the simple reason that I have no choice but to drive. There is no reliable public transport for my route to work, when there was I used it. (the train) but now I live in Thornbury it would make my journey to/from work take up a huge part of my day :(
