BBC presenter opening festival

THORNBURY Arts Festival box office is open and ready for business as the town gets ready to welcome BBC news presenter George Alagiah to the official launch.

Bunting has also been strung across the High Street in time for the opening event at 8pm tomorrow.

Bristol University's Dr Alice Roberts, Yorkshire poet and comedian Ian McMillan and jazz singer Claire Martin are also among the stars supporting the 10-day festival of music, drama, film, art and fringe events.
