Two men arrested in Almondsbury for stealing metal gates

Two men were arrested in Almondsbury on Saturday (September 15) as part of Tornado, the ongoing police operation to crack down on metal theft in the south west.

Police were called after two men were seen taking a pair of metal gates from a skip in Aztec West. Later the same day they were stopped in Almondsbury in a van with gates in the back.

A 17-year-old was issued with a police reprimand while an 18-year-old was charged with theft and released on police bail.
