Thornbury Library is helping to keep the children entertained during the festive holidays this December with 2 free events starting with a free Santa’s Workshop suitable for ages five to ten years old and then a story telling event called Stories around the Christmas tree, which is suitable for all ages.

So much for the kids to do during the festive holidays this year
The first event “Santa’s Workshop” is planned for Monday 20th December at 2:15 until 3:15pm, tickets are available in advance from the Thornbury Library.
The second event” Stories around the Christmas tree” will be on Thursday 23rd December at 6pm and finished at 6:30pm.
This is a couple of great events that have been planned through the library and anyone wishing to take part is urged to contact the library as soon as possible to book their place in order to avoid disappointment.
Other recommended events to visit during the holidays include visiting Santa’s Grotto at the St Marys Shopping Centre, open every Saturday up until Christmas as well as Thursday 23rd December. Entry to the grotto is £1.50 (all proceeds will be given to charitable causes).
Or why not take the kids along to Old Down Country Park on Saturday 18th December where the kids will have a chance to meet Santa. Santa will be at the park between 11am and 2pm. Full details will be available soon.
Or why not let the kids get into the festive spirit by taking them along to the White Horse children’s Christmas Party where there will be plenty of fun and games as well as a chance to meet Santa and collect a small gift. Entrance is only £1 per child.
If that’s not enough and the children still have plenty of energy to burn then why not take them to the new children’s soft play centre Jungle Chums. The kids will love it and whilst they are burning off energy you can relax with a bite to eat and a drink from the food court area.
If you know of any other local places that that would be perfect to take the children during the holidays then we would love to hear them, so please feel free to add them.
