It’s that time again the time of the good old summer holidays; we have decided to give you some ideas of things that are happening throughout the summer holidays, best of all there is plenty for everyone.

We start on Friday 23th July with a Thornbury Castle show called The Secret Garden, a family classic suitable for all persons aged 6 years and up. (Thornburycastle.co.uk)

Then on Saturday 24th July is the Berkeley Skirmish at the Berkeley Castle, (www.berkeley-castle.com)

Followed on Sunday 25th July by Anglo-Saxon Archaeology Discovery Day at the Edward Jenner Museum (www.jennermuseum.com)

Then the Bristol Harbour festival a must see free event held at the Bristol harbour side. This event runs from Friday 30th July until Sunday 1st August. (www.jennermuseum.com)

Following on from the Bristol Harbour festival is the Boot Camp Summer School running from the 1st August to the 7th August, the Boot Camp is the place to be for 13 – 17 year olds, a week for singers, dancers, musicians, DJs, mc/rappers and presenters age 13-17. An UN missable week of creativity, friendship, performances, fun and fuel for your faith. (www.ngm.org.uk)

If Boot Camp isn’t for you or your child then you might want to take them to a session of Children Activities at The Berkeley Castle which run Tuesday-Thursdays throughout August (Berkeley-castle.com)

Then you have the Bristol Balloon Fiesta which runs from 12th-15th August a massive dour day event suitable for the whole family. (bristolfiesta.co.uk)

Old down County Park has plenty to offer throughout the whole of the summer holidays including a Children’s summer party event on Sunday the 15th August. (Olddowncountypark.co.uk)

Off course there are plenty of free things to do during the holidays including a visit to the Mundy’s, Alveston Park and even the medevil ponds in Thornbury.

If you have an event planned then why not add it to our Events section, it's quick and easy to do and best of all it's 100% FREE!

Yes you are correct, I am waiting for information back from local schools concerning details of local school clubs.

Once I have the information I will upload it here.
