Thornbury lost for the third consecutive week in a game that was reduced to 38 overs per side due to the rain.

Thornbury’s chase got off to a disastrous start as openers Gayle and Nick Stovold and then Kanishka Edirisuriya all failed to trouble the scorers, leaving them on 1-3.

Greg Stephens and Trotman stabilised the innings briefly but Ian Blakemore and Alex Reid fell for single figures and Curtis Blakemore with a slightly better 12.

The result left Thornbury lying just above the relegation zone, questions remain as to the future place of the Thornbury club, Is there any way forward?

What do you think? Does the club have any chance of pulling it back and getting back into the gaem, there is no doubt that it will be hard if not a near miracle, however that said there still seems to be a lot of support surrounding the club.

With that in mind maybe just maybe that will be enough to push the club up a level.

Lets hope so.
