SUMMER 2012 HOLIDAY PROGRAMME

Stand and Deliver Drama Schools are proud to present our exciting summer holiday programme for 2012. We will be looking into a variety of different genres in theatre from Melodrama to Television Acting in this fun filled 5 days.
Monday – Melodrama We will focus on the power of melodrama, using examples such as the ‘soap opera’. Students will create, direct and star in their own melodrama.
Tuesday – Comedy and Tragedy We will look at both comedy and tragedy in the theatre, using a number of different texts, and the students will create their own small performance.
Wednesday – Physical Theatre The power of the body will be explored through physical theatre using shapes, movement and symbols to capture the imagination and produce a performance of ultimate creativity.
Thursday – Film Acting This day will give students an insight into what it takes to perform in film. Using real scripts from a variety of films, we will recreate scenes and students will learn the main differences between television and film acting.
Friday – TV Acting On the final day we will look at the skills required for acting on television. Again working with scripts from a variety of television programmes, students will learn important skills which can be used in the industry.

Day sessions are 9 til 5. Half days 9 til 1 or 1 til 5.
