Handel's Messiah at the Colston Hall this Saturday

Bristol Choral Society may have been performing Handel's Messiah at the Colston Hall at Christmas since 1892, but make sure you catch this very special Christmas tradition this year as they will be performing a different work next year!

The choir sing the work entirely from memory (and are believed to be the only choir in the country to do so), with a remarkable level of clarity and articulation for any choir, let alone one of their size.
Conductor Adrian Partington leads the performance with the delightful playing of baroque orchestra Music for Awhile (leader Margaret Faultess), making for an unforgettable delightful Christmas experience - a Messiah that will linger in the memory.

Described by a 2009 audience member as 'the best Messiah I've ever heard. And I've heard a few in my time, believe me - from all over the country. Stunning, simply stunning' this is one not to be missed!

There will be no BCS Messiah at Christmas next year - the choir will be performing a different work instead (for the first time in 119 years?), so be sure not to miss the chance to experience this very special Bristol Christmas tradition this year!
