I pride myself in being a responsible dog owner. I always have my 'poo bag' container clipped onto my dogs lead and always pick up and take home her 'business'. I wish I could say the same for other dog walkers in Tytherington. I take my dog twice a day for a little walk around the block, she is only a small puppy but even so, I always clean up after her.
Every time I take her....there it is, more 'poo' all along the route, outside people's houses and drives. In Tytherington we have notices all over the place urging dog owners to clean up after their dogs, indeed it is a criminal offence not to! yet these irresponsible owners take no notice and just leave what their dogs have dropped!
Recently I read in the Gazette a scheme whereby dog owners carry extra bags with them with the view of offering them to owners who do not take poo bags on their dogs walks. I wonder what they would say if I approached them to ask if they have a bag, and if not, offer them one? I can imagine wha some in my area might say!
It is the law...clean up after your dog not only for the sake of the environment..but for the sake of the poor people who have these droppings left on their properties!
