Thornbury Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious assault

Police in Thornbury are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious assault that took place close to the Anchor public house in the town.
Police have confirmed that a serious assault took place last month on Friday October 28th In the early hours of the morning. It is understood that a man was kicked and struck around the head following the incident and was taken to hospital.
This happened close the Anchor Public house. Officers investigating this incident would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this assault. Anyone who may have information is asked to call police on the non emergency number on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. We never ask your name or trace your call.
A 56-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently on police bail pending further enquiries.
