Tesco fuel station burgled TWICE in one month

Police in Thornbury are appealing for witnesses and information following two separate burglaries at the Tesco fuel station in Thornbury, the burglaries happened within days of each other.

The first incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday November 1st 2011. Thieves forced the security grille and window of the forecourt shop in Midland Road and stole a quantity of cigarettes, before making off in a vehicle.
Then only days later the same thing happened in the early hours of Wednesday November 9th 2011.
Sergeant Richard Ocone of the South Gloucestershire Priority Crime Team (PCT) said: "I would ask anyone who is offered large quantities of cheap cigarettes in suspicious circumstances to contact us.
"We'd also like to hear from anyone who has seen or does see suspicious people or vehicles at petrol stations or convenience stores, especially in the early hours.
"I would urge retailers to step up their security in light of these two incidents."
