Nailsea edge out Portishead in Bristol Youth Cricket League

WILL Davey produced an impressive batting display as his 26 not out enabled Nailsea to defeat Portishead by six runs in Section F of the Under-11s League.
In reply to Nailsea's 73-6, Portishead came up just short on 67-6.
All the other under-11 games were postponed.
Callum Loud and Luke Nash were the standout performers in the second round of the Urban Windows Under-15 Cup as Downend beat Hanham by 53 runs.
Loud made an unbeaten 53 and team-mate Nash bowled superbly to take 4-18.
Thornbury beat Downend 6-2 in a bowl-out in the South Gloucestershire group final of the Harry Seacombe Under-15 National Cup.
Elsewhere, Gordano Downs conceded their tie to Nailsea.
In Section E of the Under-17 League, Bedminster enjoyed a comfortable victory over Portishead.
Bedminster made 103-9 and then bowled Portishead out for just 37.
All the other games in the Under-17s League were postponed.
In section B, Coalpit Heath'sgame will now be played on June 21.
In Section C, Chipping Sodbury's match with Winterbourne B will now take place on June 29.
