Mansell and Pearce keep Clifton's unbeaten run going

GOALS from Els Mansell and Harriet Pearce earned Clifton a valuable point at Bowden High Town.

The home side led 1-0 at half time, only for Clifton to score twice and take the lead. But Nat Wray grabbed a equaliser for the home side.
Clifton host Reading on Saturday(1pm) at Coombe Dingle.
In the Hockey Association Cup on Sunday, Clifton had a walkover when Doncaster conceded.
Firebrands Ladies had a rewarding weekend, winning 2-0 against visiting Swansea City in National Conference West and then coming from 2-0 down to overcome East Grinstead in the Hockey Association Cup on Sunday.
Kathryn Bache opened the scoring after only two minutes against Swansea and Georgie Collett scored the second to earn all three points.
On Sunday, Georgie Collett scored twice and Bache the third to set up a match against Hampstead and Westminster in the next round. Firebrands visit Barnes on Saturday for their next league fixture.
Westberries won 9-2 against Newquay with goals from Michelle Jacobs (2) Jo Park (2) Laura Catley-Witchard (2) Cat Barber, Kat Vigar and Ellie Yuill.
Westberries 2nds lost 3-2 against Cheltenham with the goals coming from Sandra Freke and Nic Pearce-Smith.
A Sally Coleman goal could not save Westberries 3rds from going down 3-1 against Thornbury for whom Annie Beurschgens, Zoe Barnett and Rachael Gardener scored.
In Davis Wood Men's Premiership, Firebrands were 3-1 winners over Whitchurch the other side relegated from last year's National League.
Oli Pomphrey (2) and Mike Blair scored.
Firebrands play Oxted on Sunday in the cup (1.30pm) at Failand.
Robinsons saw a 3-0 lead slip against Bristol University, but recovered to win. And Robinsons B won 3-2 at Devizes with Phil King grabbing the winner.
Robinsons C beat Firebrands C 2-1, James Smailes hitting both goals for Robinsons.
Firebrands Ladies 2nds lost 3-1against Cheltenham, while Firebrands 3rds drew 2-2 with Yate 2nds and Firebrands 4ths beat Knowledge with goals from Meika Byas and Laura Dunkerley.
Vicky Ball scored four for Thornbury 2nds in a 5-3 win over South Glos.
