A man was arrested in fields off the M5 near Almondsbury yesterday (Monday October 8) on suspicion of theft.

CCTV operators called police us after spotting two men acting suspiciously by an industrial skip between junctions 16 (Almondsbury) and 17 (Cribbs Causeway) of the motorway.
A quantity of metal cable had been taken from the skip and was found in a nearby field.
A 27-year-old man from Weston-super-Mare is on police bail pending further enquiries.
