An armed robbery took place in Boots, in Coniston Road, this afternoon (October 17).

A man entered the store at about 1.50pm and threatened staff with a bladed instrument while demanding money.

He then man made off with cash from the store.

Officers investigating this incident would now like to speak to a man who is described as white, around 5ft 8ins and of a slim to medium build. He was wearing baggy style clothes, a hooded type jumper that was dark in colour, and a bandanna which had a camouflage pattern on it.

Anyone who was any information is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference 113164/12. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
